A Long Weekend

@Chika-an for Lopez' Birthday Bash

Well, it's an extended weekend because Monday is a holiday, so NO classes for everyone. I was kinda busy this weekend. Saturday, I spent the whole day watching Book Three of "Avatar: the Last Air Bender". I finished the episodes, and the ending was just so-so. Later that day, I joined my friends to celebrate Lopez' birthday bash at Chika-an. We really had a great time, and great food, Filipino Cuisines. At around 11, we headed home and called it a day. The next day, which is a Sunday, I woke up late than planned. Luckily, Debbie called me, so I hurriedly prepare to depart. I went straight to the meeting place and met some high school friends who were also going to Talisay for the GK Build. When we reached the site, the director/head of the build welcomed us, and then we started the work. We lined from Point A to Point B, and passed each sack of gravel to the next person so that the sack can reach B. The sun was torturing us in a way, but it was still fun. Thanks to Roxanne for her fun jokes and also to Debbie, and Kuya Jared for their jokes as well. It really made the work lighter. We had an hour lunch break, then went back to work. I tried to assist in painting the houses, but it seemed that there are already enough people for that work. Instead, I loosened the hard soil using a crowbar so that the others can easily shovel the soil. Then I became the "sako girl" because I have to transport the sacks from B to A after the gravel has been poured. I really had fun trying to do all those things, but it was also tiring. After an hour, I guess, they called the work off. The heads gave their final remarks, then we headed home. At around 4, I attended the mass, then I realized that I was still early for the 4 o'clock mass, but still I waited and attended half of the 3 o'clock mass. The mass ended at around 5 and so, I went home and did my thing (surf the net, mostly). We watched 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull'. I was with my siblings. After that we watched 'Good Luck Chuck', but I didn't allow my younger brother to watch it. If you saw the movie, you'll understand why.

It's Bonifacio Day today, so NO classes. I mentioned it just moments ago. I woke up late, as usual. I ate my brunch. A set of rice, fish, and mango. A lazy afternoon followed. Actually, I was invited to watch 'A Christmas Carol', but declined because I have been going out since Saturday, and I thought it would be unfair, especially for my sister who is always tasked to take care of the store. Feeling guilty, eh? It's just that, I don't like to do that kind of job. Oh well, so I stayed home and played Farmville, listen to songs, etc. Oh yeah, I also would want to attend the Monthly Worship, but same reason, I don't want to go out for fairness.

That's all for my weekend. Till next post..
