A Letter

Dear Blogspot,

I know it's been a while since my last post. Well, it just occurred to me that I don't really like writing long posts, and y'know, I just want to express whatever I want to express in a simple and easy way. And then, I rediscovered TUMBLR. I already have this account for quite some time but back then, I didn't notice its elegance.

What I really like about Tumblr:
  • you can easily reblog other's posts
  • it's very user-friendly and very simple
  • it has a clean and well-organized dashboard
  • your posts are categorized into picture, video, audio, quote, text, chat, and link (which by the way is so cool!)
  • you can easily follow blogs that you like and you get updates every time that blog posts something
But Tumblr is not perfect. Sometimes, I get bored with it's simplicity and limits, but I just let those days pass.

Blogspot, don't get angry or dismayed. I will not dump you like I did with Friendster. I shall return. I'll come back, for sure. So, you wait. Till my next post.

P.S. In case you wanna meet Tumblr, just click here.

Hello SUMMER!

My summer was officially initiated by a tour to the beautiful place of the Chocolate Hills and the home of the tarsiers, Bohol. This trip was not really planned for months or something. My mom just decided to have this summer getaway, so she called her friend and negotiated with her for the tour. So here, I'll just show some pictures as to where we went (and some captions).

Bohol Diverse in Alona, Panglao - the resort where we stayed for the night.

Virgin Island - island near Bohol.
It's just a very small island with no residents, infrastructure, etc.
In the  picture, we are actually already far from the island.

Sandugo site - the place where Sikatuna and Miguel de Legazpi had their blood compact.

Baclayon Church - one of the oldest churches in the Philippines

Python - (it's what's written in the cardboard) home of Prony, the
largest captive reticulated python in the Philippines

Tarsiers' Place - home of the fury little brown animal with 2 big eyes.
In the photo above, the tarsier is sleeping so no '2 big eyes' can be seen.

Floating restaurant - it's a small restaurant balanced on
2 bancas floating in Loboc river.
For more or less 30 minutes, the boat took us to one end of the river then back.

Chocolate Hills -the famous tourists spot in Bohol.

We stayed in Bohol for only two days, but still it was fun and the money and time spent were all worth the adventure. Till next trip!

Hello SUMMER?

Finally, hell week is over, and summer break is here. Having said that, I decided not to burden you in reading a week-worth of hellish days post. So let's talk about summer, what about summer?

Summer. All I know is that this summer will be different from my previous summer breaks. After the Holy Week, which will be next week, we will out hunting (haunting) for companies to accept us as their interns for this summer. I never thought job-hunting would be this tiring and difficult. We already submitted our resumes to a lot of companies (thru e-mail) and we are still waiting for their replies. Actually, I have set a goal, a company where I must be having my on-the-job training. I took their entrance exam last week, and it turned out that the possibility of me getting one of the four positions they offered is very low. The exam was too hard for me, and now that I checked my answer, I am now sure that I will not get that spot, so I really have to start looking for other companies as soon as possible, or else, it would be too late for me. I do hope that I can still enjoy my summer break while working/studying. Gaah! How I wish that all the software development companies offer free lunch, beach outings, movie tickets, and DOTA weeknights.Oh well ...

Peace, where are you?

Negative vibes all over me today. I feel so upset and not in the mood to do anything school related, or anything serious at all. I just want to have fun, and do things that don't require so much brain activity. I feel so irritated with minor stuff that usually don't affect me at all. This is not usual, and I don't why. Oh gosh! This is totally killing me. While writing (well, typing) this post, I'm actually irritated by the sound of my sister's computer, the rooster outside that keeps on 'cuck-a-koo-ing' (I have no idea where I got that word, but it's pretty fun), my sister talking on phone while listening to some songs (her hoarse voice is annoying me), even pop-ups that keeps on popping up on the screen (yeah, that's what pop-ups do) are annoying me. It seems that I long for something peaceful, silent, calm, yeah whatever. Gaah! I have to have THIS peace that I am looking for because it's compromising my attitude towards people, and I am sure they were pretty annoyed by my attitude moments ago. Anyway, I would like to apologize to all readers (if there are any) for this lame and i-just-type-what-comes-to-my-mind-even-though-I-am-not-making-sense-at-all post. Woo, that was long. By the way, congratulations for reaching this far.

And here's the thing, I am not yet done with my project, and I don't feel like doing it until I'll feel okay. (Seriously, my sister's voice is annoying, and her music too!) Or maybe, I'll get over this by sleeping. I hope so. I really have to sleep now. 'Tl next post (I doubt you'd still read my next posts after reading this another how-was-your-day post.) Toodles!

Disappointed

I am so disappointed with myself for having not thought of an innovative concept that would give justice to the 8 months of training in the Young Minds Academy (YMA). I think, I disappointed my mentor, and worst, the head master of the program. It was as if I learned nothing, gained nothing from all the sessions, the input that they worked hard to implant on every YMA-er. The program is said to produce leaders, youth with wide imagination, but look at me, such a disgrace to the name of the prestigious program.

As I have said in my previous blog, I killed the GK project concept. I never thought it was for a reason. I guess it was a wrong move to revive and take that idea as the basis for my project proposal. The Balik-bayan program is not as good either. Same as the GK case, the model is already there and there's nothing new about it. Even if I pursued with the latter, the same questions would still come up, I'm guessing. Gaah! I should have thought of something. I should have expanded my imagination a little further. Or at least, I should have defended the project with the best of my abilities. Oh to the should have's.

I will not get over this disappointment, unless a part of the project that I proposed will be used in the "full blown" project, the one that the RAFI would make using key concepts of chosen project proposals. Or maybe not.

So much for that, I have to end this post. My mother is already worried for the electricity bill. Toodles.
